Which projects fit
We especially like to support projects in these areas:
- Welcoming pilgrims: albergues, pilgrim offices and their volunteers
- Informing and accompanying pilgrims before, during and after the Way
- Preserving the heritage of the Ways of St James: waymarks, fountains, chapels and traditions
- Solidarity with pilgrims in need
- Projects that directly benefit pilgrims on the Camino
- a clearly defined plan, for example a new roof, heating, beds or a place to wash
- a budget that can be put into numbers
- people on site who carry out the project and report back afterwards
What we need from you
- Name and location of the albergue or initiative, and which Camino it’s on
- What exactly is needed and why
- How much it costs, ideally with a quote
- A few photos and a contact person
What happens next
We look at every suggestion and get back to you. An association decides in which order the projects are funded. When it’s your project’s turn, we present it here on the website and keep raising money until the budget is reached.
